Professor Perspectives: Archaeology and Cultural History of Indigenous Foodways

Join us for a panel discussion moderated by Prof. John Marston (Director, Archaeology Program) exploring the foodways of diverse Indigenous communities in North America from deep prehistory to the present. Panelists Prof. Catherine West and Prof. Wade Campbell are both experts in the archaeology and cultural history of Indigenous foodways: Prof. West in the Arctic and sub-Arctic, and Prof. Campbell in the American Southwest. Each will share insights from their archaeological research and its relevance for contemporary Native American and Native Alaskan communities.
