These caves were first professionally investigated by Stephen Bedwell who radiocarbon dated charcoal in a Western Stemmed cultural component to as much as 11,200 14C BP (13,000 calibrated years ago). The field school is now accepting enrollment applications for the Summer 2017 field session. The Archaeological Field School runs from June 26 – August 4th. This program is certified by the Register of Professional Archaeologists (RPA). RPA is the standard-bearer for appropriate archaeological field, laboratory, and reporting conduct.
