What is your favorite piece of BU history?
BU has made a significant impact on women: it was the first US university to admit women to a medical college and to award a PhD to a woman.
How have you changed since your first day on campus?
Since my first day on campus, I’ve grown more independent and open to stepping outside my comfort zone to embrace new experiences. During my time at BU, I’ve overcome difficult classes, explored the city beyond campus, and joined clubs that challenged me to meet new people and try unfamiliar things. I feel thrilled to explore new opportunities that I would have previously avoided.
What BU traditions do you enjoy?
My favorite BU tradition is lobster night.
Why did you choose to be involved in SAA?
I love building connections with alumni and learning their stories. Hearing from people who were once in my shoes gives me valuable insight into how they got to where they are today and what their careers are like. Being in SAA gives me the opportunity to create a stronger sense of community between students and alumni by bringing them together for meaningful conversations and shared experiences about life at BU.
