Perspectives from India: Gender equity in women’s health and wellbeing
The advancement of gender equality and equity, empowerment and elimination of discrimination, are critical to women’s health and well-being. This can only be achieved by including the gender dimension in planning health programs and research. There is a need to provide stronger evidence to demonstrate the benefits of pursuing such a broader life-course agenda for women’s health.
