#GivingTuesdayNow at BU
Posted April 2020
Today is Giving Tuesday Now, a global day of philanthropy and unity coordinated as an emergency response to the need created by the COVID-19 pandemic. This day continues the spirit of #TerriersTogether. It offers an opportunity for the BU community to come together in solidarity.
Here are some ways you can support your fellow Terriers:
1. Send a note of appreciation to Boston University alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends working on the frontlines
While we have all been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, our community members from the medical and public health fields have been working especially hard to keep us informed and safe. Show them that Terriers stand together by using this form to send them a note of encouragement.

2. Send a note of congratulation and encouragement to our Class of 2020 graduates
With the postponement of BU’s Commencement exercises, Class of 2020 graduates are experiencing a very different end to their senior year than planned. Use this form to share words of hope and excitement and help us welcome our newest class of Terrier alumni.

3. Make a gift today
For alumni who are in a position to help financially, we hope you consider supporting the Student Life Fund, research, or the fund of your choice.
4. Reach out to alumni in your community
Review a list of location-based alumni Facebook groups and connect with the community near you.
5. Support BMC healthcare workers by donating PPE supplies
The COVID-19 pandemic has created a shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE), such as masks, disposable gloves and gowns, N95 respirators, and face shields. Areas of Boston University and Boston Medical Center need them.
6. Volunteer remotely through BU’s Global Days of Service
Global Days of Service brings together BU alumni and friends to help make an impact in your community.
