We know that Alumni Weekend can seem a little daunting, particularly when you look at hundreds of available events. So, we’re here to help by creating what we think is the perfect schedule. Enjoy and don’t forget to register.
Thursday, September 19
BU at the Ballpark Red Sox vs. Giants
11:05 a.m. Pre-Game | 1:05 First Pitch | $95
Start the weekend right and join us at the ballpark for the Red Sox vs. Giants game! Not only will you get a chance to sing “Sweet Caroline” like the good ol’ days, but you’ll also get to meet Wally and Tessie at our private pre-game reception at the Champions Club. The buffet meal (which is included in your ticket) will be filled with Fenway franks, BBQ chicken, veggie burgers, Cracker Jacks, mini Red Sox cupcakes, and more!
Friday, September 20
Re-u-knighted: Young Alumni Night
8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. | $15
Walk around campus, visit your old stomping grounds and tour historic Boston — then come on over to the newly renovated Fuller’s BU Pub for some snazzy drinks, delicious pub food and even better company.
Saturday, September 21
Bone Appetit! at Marsh Plaza
9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m | Free
Walk over to the Alumni Weekend Welcome Tent with your four-legged friend and kick off your Saturday with a sweet complimentary treat! (And yes, we’ll have complimentary treats for your dog, water bowls, prizes and more.)
Picnic in BU’s Beer Garden
11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. | $5-$20
Kick back on the BU beach, hang out at the picnic tables, play patio games and try beers from around New England. Not a beer drinker? No problem! We’ll have plenty of cider and non-alcoholic beverages too, along with shareable snacks and a BBQ buffet. P.S. we’ll also have cider donuts!
The Best of BU Alumni Awards
3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. | Free
Celebrate and hear from these distinguished and young alumni award recipients and how they have impacted their industries and communities since leaving Boston University.
Tastes of BU: Pairings with Culinary Creators
5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. | $35-$45
It’s time for dinner! Enjoy specialty bubbles and bourbon tastings throughout the night with special food pairings.
Great Choices, Great Changes: A Celebration of BU
8:00 p.m. | $20
Make your way over to Agganis Arena for the biggest celebration of the year! This dazzling light show will feature a live performance by the Boston Pops, pyrotechnics, fantastic figure skating from Feld Entertainment (the producers of Disney on Ice) and a wide range of student and alumni groups.
BU’s Biggest Celebration After Party
10:00 p.m. to midnight | $15
The party doesn’t end here! Join us for a Latin themed after-party immediately following the “Celebration of BU” extravaganza at the Agganis Arena. Expect small bites, beer, wine, dancing, and a DJ set from Dean Elmore!
Sunday, September 22
Dahod Family Alumni Center Brunch
10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. | $25
End this amazing weekend on a high note and join us for a delicious brunch and a mimosa. We have two seatings available: 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. – 2 p.m.
Charles River Boat Cruise
1:30 p.m. | $10
Wake up slowly, have yourself a nice breakfast and then join us for a relaxing riverboat cruise. Sit back and take in the fall foliage on a private tour with fellow Terriers and friends — a perfect Sunday afternoon, if you ask us.
