Non-Questrom Minors Available to Questrom Students
College of Arts & Sciences
Questrom School of Business students may complement their studies in business with a minor in a specific liberal arts area. In the recent past, Questrom students have pursued minors in areas such as economics, Spanish, environmental analysis & policy, French studies, international relations, history, psychology, history of art & architecture, philosophy, anthropology, English, and mathematics. Questrom School of Business students may also pursue the minor in Sustainable Energy, which provides exposure to a specific industry sector through a cross-section of related courses from within Questrom and across the University, or the minor in Innovation & Entrepreneurship, which enables students pursuing any undergraduate major from all BU schools and colleges to develop their ideas, regardless of their field of expertise, and create tangible economic or social impact.
Minors typically consist of six courses in the chosen area. Students who minor in History of Art & Architecture or Statistics must indicate a track.
Please note: The College of Arts & Sciences requires that all students earn a minimum grade of C in courses taken toward the minor. Twelve units must be unique to the minor and may not count toward fulfillment of majors or additional minors. Details can be obtained from the specific departments or in the appropriate sections of the College of Arts & Sciences Bulletin. Minor courses may be applied to both the liberal arts and non-Questrom elective requirements. To declare a minor, students must submit a Concentration, Minor, and Graduation form to the Questrom Registrar’s Office (QRO) at least one term prior to a student’s expected graduation.
College of Communication
Many College of Communication (COM) minors are available to Questrom students.

College of Engineering
Questrom students may complete a minor in Engineering Science. This minor has been designed for Boston University students who are not in the College of Engineering but who want a general introduction to the concepts and applications of engineering. A minor in Engineering Science is earned through completion of 20 units. Twelve units must be unique to the minor and may not count toward fulfillment of majors or additional minors. A minimum grade of C is required in all courses fulfilling the minor. All course substitutions must be approved by the College of Engineering Undergraduate Committee.
Students must submit a Concentration, Minor, and Graduation form to the Questrom Registrar’s Office (QRO) at least one term prior to a student’s expected graduation.

College of Fine Arts
Minor requirements can be found in the College of Fine Arts program listings.
Students must submit a Concentration, Minor, and Graduation form to the Questrom Registrar’s Office (QRO) at least one term prior to a student’s expected graduation.
College of General Studies
Questrom students may complete a minor in Interdisciplinary Studies through the College of General Studies. Information about this minor is available on the College of General Studies website. Students must submit a Concentration, Minor, and Graduation form to the Questrom Registrar’s Office (QRO) at least one term prior to their expected graduation.
Sargent College of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences
Minors are available in Human Physiology, Public Health, and Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences.
School of Hospitality Administration
The minor in Hospitality Administration is designed for students who want a general introduction to the concepts and practices of the hospitality profession. The minor can provide a supplement to a major in Business Administration & Management in the Questrom School of Business.
This minor is restricted to Questrom students and is available to all currently enrolled Questrom students regardless of class year. Questrom students should meet with advisors in the Undergraduate Development Center (UDC) for further information regarding incorporating the minor into their curricula.
Registration for all School of Hospitality Administration (SHA) courses is on a space-available basis. A minimum grade of C is required in all courses that fulfill the Hospitality Administration minor. Twelve units must be unique to the minor and may not count toward fulfillment of majors or additional minors.
No transfer units may be used to fulfill the SHA requirements.
Students must register for all SHA courses at the School of Hospitality Administration (928 Commonwealth Avenue), unless they have declared their minor in SHA, in which case they may register on the MyBU Student Portal. For further information, contact the Questrom Undergraduate Development Center (UDC).
