IS&T provides a central monitoring and alerting tool for UNIX/Linux systems, using client-based agent software from Big Brother Software. Big Brother is a web-based systems and network monitor. It can monitor network connectivity by checking for host presence and the availability of HTTP and FTP services. It can also monitor utilization of CPU, memory, and disk space. |
