"West Campus is an unexpected treat, an oasis of green space tucked just out-of-sight of the traffic, noise, and activity that characterizes any big city like Boston. West Campus consists of three residential buildings clustered about Nickerson Field (the former home of the Boston Braves baseball team). Each of the three residential buildings houses about 600 students in traditional dormitory-style accommodations. These three buildings carry the names of the three founders of Boston University: Claflin, Sleeper, and Rich. While West Campus has the secluded feel typical of a suburban college campus, a number of amenities lie within a one-block radius of West Campus, including more than ten restaurants, a supermarket, a bank-ATM, the University’s Fitness and Recreation Center, two subway stops, and much more."
