Zara Nizami-Azadzoi

Zara Nizami administers all aspects of educator licensure within Boston University for students and graduates of Wheelock, the College of Fine Arts, the College of Arts & Sciences, and Sargent College. She advises students and graduates on practicum and licensure requirements and assists with student intake meetings for practicum placement. Ms. Nizami also updates and maintains licensure, fieldwork, and assessment records-keeping systems, including SONIA, ELAR, and the CAP Online Platform. She also administers and analyzes reports as needed for continuous program improvement, while meeting state/federal and accreditation requirements.

Ms. Nizami is originally from Hyderabad, India, and grew up in Lowell, Mass. Previously, she worked in the Office of Student Programs at Mount Holyoke College and was a residence hall director at Boston University. Her passion has always included building strong systems for student support and opportunities for student leadership development.
