Nicole Cohen

Part-Time Instructor

Dr. Nicole Cohen is a clinical faculty member in the Special Education program at Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. In addition to classroom teaching, she supervises student teachers in the special education student teaching practicum program. Her research focuses on curriculum design, with a particular emphasis on novel methods of instructional support to improve classroom engagement.

Dr. Cohen has previously had roles in a number of research and policy education think tanks, as an educational specialist and research associate. She has also been a classroom teacher in both private and public school special education classrooms, including at institutions focused on frontier, research-supported, special education curricula.
