Luna Hwang
Doctoral Student

Luna Hwang is a first-year doctoral student at BU Wheelock enrolled in the EdD Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. She is currently a special education teacher in Boston Public Schools and has been teaching in the education field for the past 10 years.
Luna graduated from UMass Amherst with a BA in Sociology with a minor in Education. During her time there, she was a TA under Dr. Bob Malloy and taught in Amherst Public Schools. Upon graduating, she enrolled at Boston College as a Donovan Urban Scholar for her MEd in Mild/Moderate Disabilities. Luna’s research interests include special education, early childhood education, elementary education, math education, reading education, social justice in education, and teacher preparation.
