Lindsey McLean

Research Scientist

Lindsey McLean is a research scientist at Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. She supports the work on a National Science Foundation-funded study in teacher preparation, in partnership with colleagues at University of Virginia and University of Delaware. The project focuses on preparing general education preservice teachers to work with students with disabilities in their mathematics instruction. Her interests include working with preservice and in-service teachers to improve their effectiveness in their role in K–12 classrooms, supporting evidence-based practices in the classroom and teacher retention.

Ms. McLean has six years of teaching experience in her home state of Virginia. She has experience teaching general education and special education. While in the classroom she led her grade level teams and worked with several preservice teachers. She also supported her school’s equity work through her leadership roles.
