
Dianne Lochhead
Part-Time Instructor
Dianne Lochhead is a part-time instructor of Special Education at Boston University’s Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. She has over 30 years’ experience in education and is currently the principal of Newton Public Schools’ alternative therapeutic high school, which is designed to meet the unique needs of students with emotional disabilities. In addition, Dr. Lochhead is a therapeutic program coordinator for middle and high school programs located outside the traditional school setting.
Dr. Lochhead has comprehensive knowledge and experience implementing Positive Behavior Intervention Systems (PBIS), Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Collaborate Problem Solving, and Restorative Practices. She uses her experience and training to inform her teaching at Boston University.
