Part-Time Instructor

Christopher Alba Santana is a part-time instructor in science education at Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. He is also a full-time physics teacher at Revere High School in Revere, Mass., where he has taught for the past five years. As a teacher, Mr. Alba Santana has been in numerous leadership positions that have crossed department boundaries and supported his school in working toward a more equitable grading system for their students.

During the past few summers, Mr. Alba Santana has been doing nanomanufacturing research through Boston University’s RET (Research Experiences for Teachers) program. Most recently, Mr. Alba Santana worked on a soft robotics project for minimally invasive right-sided heart procedures. He is passionate about doing research in his field because he believes that it allows him to stay connected to today’s science and prepare his students to be scientists and engineers today.
