
Victoria Mulkern
Doctoral Student
Victoria Mulkern is a doctoral student in educational studies with a concentration in special education at Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. Victoria’s research interests include supporting educators in implementing evidence-based literacy practices and multitiered systems of supports in reading (MTSS-R) to accurately identify young multilingual learners for dyslexia and other word-reading disabilities.
Previously, Victoria served as the director of literacy and Title I in the Malden Public Schools, where she led an adoption and implementation of a high-quality instructional curriculum, grounded in reading science. Prior to that, she was a classroom teacher, ESL specialist, and instructional coach in the Boston Public Schools.
