Craig Vincent – Splunk

Craig Vincent is a Solution Engineer and Regional Security Subject Matter at Splunk. After joining Splunk, Craig has supported customers in Higher Education, Healthcare, and State & Local Government. Prior to Splunk, Craig held a security research role at the National Cable & Telecommunications Association and worked in the Security Operation Center at Mandiant, acquired by FireEye, Inc. Based in the DC area, Craig’s technical passions include security, containerization, automation, and program management. Craig holds a B.S.E in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Duke University

Nick Lewis – Internet2

Nick Lewis (CISSP) is a Program Manager for Security and Identity at Internet2, where he manages the NET+ security and identity services portfolio, while also contributing to the development of new NET+ offerings in cloud security. Nick rejoined Internet2 in 2015, after previously working here from 2002-2007.

Nick has also held positions in information security at the University of Michigan and most recently was Director of IT Security and Compliance and Information Security Officer at Saint Louis University.  He has also worked for Children’s Hospital Boston as an Information Security Manager and Michigan State University as an Information Technologist. Nick holds masters degrees in information assurance from Norwich University and telecommunications from Michigan State University.

Chris Woods  Mount Holyoke College

Chris Woods is a systems administrator for Library, Information, and Technology Services (LITS) at Mount Holyoke College where he manages vulnerability scanning and is a member of the security incident response team. Prior to joining the college in 2008, he worked in the defense industry where he developed tools to automate the process of generating and organizing electronic documentation sets. He has also served in the U.S. Navy as a cryptologic technician, taught adjunct courses in networking and information security, and worked as a technical writer. Chris is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, holds a master’s degree in Information Technology from Harvard University Extension School, and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

Jeff Spielberg  River Loop Security

Jeff Spielberg is a founder and partner at River Loop Security, a cybersecurity consulting company with specialization in hardware and wireless protocol security. Jeff works in industries including telecom, consumer products, and medical devices, performing penetrating testing and advising on secure product development. He contributes to several open source projects, manufacturing research tools which help lower the barriers to hardware and wireless reverse engineering.

Jeff lead development of enterprise hospital systems at athenahealth Inc., including surgical and other specialty care modules. He is often found mentoring healthcare hackathon teams, and advises several healthcare startups. He holds an electrical engineering degree from Dartmouth College’s Thayer School of Engineering.

Gerard Shockley  Boston University

Gerard Shockley is part of the Enterprise Architecture and Systems team at Boston University focusing on analysis, selection and deployment of Secure, Scalable and Innovative cloud based platforms.

Gene Kingsley -University of Massachusetts

Mr. Gene Kingsley is employed by the division of University Information Technology Service with the University of Massachusetts President’s Office.  He serves as the Director of the Security Operations Center where he leads his team to help protect the clients of Massachusetts Advanced Security Technologies. He has 20 years of experience in Information Management and Security Services having worked in Higher Ed and the Finance Industry in Massachusetts as a leader in his fields.  He holds a BS in Criminal Justice, a MBA, and a MS in Communications and Information Management. He holds certifications such as ITIL Foundations, CISM, CRISC, GCFE. He has also been recognized nationally as a thought leader and active participant in Community Service.
