Jake Cunningham is the Lead Information Security Analyst at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he manages the campus information security program and the campus information security team, performs incident response, forensic investigations, risk assessments, security audits and addresses IT related compliance requirements. He has over 12 years experience in information security and has been a SANS Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) since 2003.

With more than 25 years of global sales and business development experience, Tim Evans is responsible for achieving key company goals, including sales strategy and revenue, sales hiring and management, reseller partnership development, and fostering field level relationships with technology partners, such as Dell, Aruba and Brocade.
Before joining Impulse Point, Evans spent three years as vice president of sales at Bradford Networks where he was responsible for all sales operations worldwide. During his time at Bradford Networks, he doubled the company’s customer base, created a global channel consisting of 68 value added resellers and achieved quarter-over-quarter sales growth in excess of 35 percent. In this role, Evans also helped develop the company’s sales strategy, recruited, hired and managed the sales team, developed product positioning and signed reseller and technology partnerships. Prior to Bradford Networks, Evans held key sales and executive positions at Visual Networks, Openwave, Hasbro Interactive, NCT Group, Proteon, American Power Conversion and Merisel. Evans holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Cum Laude from Boston College and is currently pursuing a Masters in Management from Harvard University Extension School in Cambridge, MA.

Doug White has worked in technology and security since 1977 as a programmer, network admin, security auditor, author, and teacher. Dr. White has published numerous articles in the field and is a Senior member of the Association of Computing Machinery. Dr. White currently specializes in networking and digital forensics and is the Director of Forensics, Networking, and Security at Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island. Dr. White is also a member of the Rhode Island Cyberdisruption team and is willing to talk about digital emergency management and response at length. Dr. White is a CISSP, CCE, and is a licensed and bonded private investigator in Rhode Island. Dr. White holds a Phd in Computer Information Systems and Quantitative Analysis from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.
Jason Purfahl, University of Connecticut

Jason Pufahl is the Chief Information Security Officer for the University of Connecticut. He has 15 years of experience in IT and is CISSP and CISM certified. He has spent the last 9 years dedicated to information and network security, and his expertise includes: business continuity planning, risk management, incident handling, regulatory compliance, policy creation, IPS/IDS implementation, firewalling, VPN, bandwidth controls, wireless security, network admission controls and abuse control. He recently co-founded the Connecticut Higher Education Roundtable on Information Security (CHERIS) to provide for the opportunity for sharing of best practices in the field of information security targeted at higher education.
John A. Meyers, Ph.D., Boston University
A novel use of VDI to create an isolated HIPAA-complaint space for research users
Dr. Meyers is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Director of Technology in the Department of Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine and Boston Medical Center. As a member of the Hematology/Oncology faculty, Dr. Meyers specializes in leukemia and lymphoma, phosphodiesterase inhibitors, and flow cytometry. As Director, Dr. Meyers oversees and develops the technology infrastructure supporting a large multitude of fellow faculty and tens of millions of dollars of grant funded research. Such systems include large scale-out storage clusters for high performance computing and general laboratory research data storage, virtualized server clusters, scientific high performance computing, and virtual desktops tuned utilized for compute performance and isolation of sensitive identifiable patient data.
Ashish Jain, Boston College

Ashish Jain is the IT Audit Manager for Boston College. Prior to joining Boston College, he worked as a Senior Auditor at MIT. He performs IT Risk Assessment and evaluates university’s responses to latest threats, challenges, and opportunities. Ashish maintains professional certifications as a CIA and Chartered Accountant (CA) (India). He has passed the CPA examination.
Paul Clancy, Boston University
Cyber Liability Insurance
Paul Clancy is the Director of Risk Management at Boston University. He served in a similar role for a large retail chain prior to coming to the University, and started out his career as a claims adjuster for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. Among his responsibilities in planning, directing and administering the risk management program for the University is the evaluation and purchase of casualty insurance to protect the University’s assets. Paul has been active with both URMIA (University Risk Management and Insurance Association) and the Massachusetts RIMS (Risk and Insurance Management Society) chapter, serving on the board of directors for each organization and making presentations at conferences. In 2003 Paul was named Distinguished Risk Manager by URMIA. In 2008 Paul was one of four International Fellows selected by URMIA to spend an insurance-intensive week in London.
Paul earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, his Masters of Business Administration at Babson College, and also has earned his Associate in Risk Management.
