Libraries & Other Campus Resources

Enhance the connections between writing, research, and information literacy in your classes with resources from the BU Libraries; explore new technologies in the classroom with EdTech; and take advantage of opportunities to learn about evidence-based teaching practices you can bring to the writing classroom with the help of the Center for Teaching and Learning.

The Center for Teaching and Learning

The Center for Teaching and Learning supports all faculty across BU with workshops, reading groups, and outside speakers, among many other valuable programs. Check out their Learning Sciences Speaker Series, their Faculty Writing Group, their Research & Information Literacy guide, and some of their recommended reading for faculty. Also consider their guide to flipped classrooms and experiential learning.

Digital Learning & Innovation

EdTech, through Digital Learning & Innovation, supports faculty with digital or multimedia needs in their courses.

Libraries

The BU Libraries have long supported the teaching of writing and information literacy, helping students achieve the Research & Information Literacy objectives set by the Hub in the context of the course curriculum. Librarians have also created guides that can be shared with students:

  • Getting Started with Research
  • Citation Style Guide
  • Creating Bibliographies
