Library Conversations: Dr. Courtney Goto

Wednesday, March 20, 2024

1:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Our March Library Conversations event will focus on the scholarly work of Dr. Courtney Goto.  A faculty member of the School of Theology, Dr. Goto is Associate Professor of Religious Education and Co-Director of the Center for Practical Theology. Her research and teaching interests address the intersections of racism, culture, and faith; as well as aesthetic teaching and learning, creativity, and embodied knowing.

Our conversation with Dr. Goto will be centered on her article:

Goto, Courtney. “Who is family?  Where Asian North American Christians are in empathizing with Black people.” In Keun-joo Christine Pae, and Boyung Lee, eds. Embodying Antiracist Christianity : Asian American Theological Resources for Just Racial Relations. Cham: Palgrave Macmillan, 2023. https://search-ebscohost-com.ezproxy.bu.edu/login.aspx?direct=true&db=nlebk&AN=3766668&site=bsi-live&scope=site.

About the series: The School of Theology Library is proud to sponsor Library Conversations: Research and Scholarship at the School of Theology.  Each conversation is focused on the scholarly work of a faculty member, doctoral student, or other member of the Boston University School of Theology community.  The library provides an article or book chapter written by the author as the focus for the conversation.
