Library Conversations: Dr. Nicolette Manglos-Weber
Wednesday, March 1, 2023
1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Our March Library Conversations event will focus on the scholarly work of Dr. Nicolette Manglos-Weber. A faculty member of the School of Theology, Dr. Manglos-Weber is Assistant Professor of Religion and Society. Her research and teaching interests focus on how religion shapes politics and collective wellbeing, especially among faith communities in several countries of Anglophone Africa, among migrants to the U.S., and among U.S. young adults facing stress and adversity.
Our conversation with Dr. Manglos-Weber will be centered on her article, “The Contexts of Spiritual Seeking: How Ghanaians in the United States Navigate Changing Normative Conditions of Religious Belief and Practice,” published in Sociology of Religion: A Quarterly Review 82, no. 2 (2021): 133-55.
About the series: The School of Theology Library is proud to sponsor Library Conversations: Research and Scholarship at the School of Theology. Each conversation is focused on the scholarly work of a faculty member, doctoral student, or other member of the Boston University School of Theology community. The library provides an article or book chapter written by the author as the focus for the conversation.
