BU Energy Club: Smart Lighting Challenge
This student run competition is focused on developing the optimal design, manufacturing, operations and product strategy for solid state lighting technologies under development at the National Science Foundation (NSF) Smart Lighting Engineering Research Center (ERC). There are seven student teams from BU, one team from Tufts and one team from Babson. Teams, made up with both graduate and undergraduates, compete by devising approaches to a Smart Lighting case. The case is authored by Professor Tom Little who leads the BU portion of the National Science Foundation Smart Lighting Engineering Research Center.

3-5pm – Preliminary round of competition (this portion is not open to the public)
Public may attend the event from 6pm for keynote and final round.
5-6pm – Dinner – 4th floor executive dining room
6-7pm – Welcome, introduction of judges: Eric Power, BU Energy Club President, BU MBA, 2011
– Keynote: Dr. Robert Karlicek, Director, NSF Smart Lighting Engineering Research Center
7-8pm – Final round of competition
8-9:30pm – Winners announced and networking
