Beyond LED Bulbs: Smart Lighting

Disruptive technologies like solid state lighting create tremendous opportunities for new markets.  The initial opportunities for LED bulbs are driven by the need for more energy efficient lighting, but Smart Lighting systems will evolve from developing full control of all of the properties of visible solid state light. 

Many new opportunities are yet to be discovered, especially since the complete capabilities of solid state lighting are far from fully developed, and the ways that society can benefit from high quality lighting are largely unexplored.
