To help you build your skills while earning income, we provide the comprehensive JobX Student Job Board. Available to all degree-seeking Boston University students, the Student Job Board features a wide array of part-time employment opportunities from both on-campus and off-campus employers throughout Greater Boston.
For students with Work Study Awards
There are only a handful of jobs that do not qualify as Work-Study jobs. On-campus jobs seeking Work-Study eligible students will add a “Work-Study Preferred” indicator to the position. An easy way to look for these jobs is to select the “Work-Study Preferred Jobs” quick search function on the “Find a Job” page.
Access to job listings and employment is limited to Boston University students who meet certain eligibility criteria. Make sure that you meet this eligibility criteria to view job listings, especially as an incoming student.
Best Times to Job Search
Academic year jobs are typically posted starting late July throughout the Fall and Spring semesters, with an uptick in jobs at the beginning and the end of each semester. Summer listings can start displaying as early as January, so we encourage you to look for summer internships and jobs as soon as possible.
Off-Campus Job Opportunities
To maximize opportunities for students, employers throughout the Greater Boston area can post on the JobX Student Job Board for free. If you come across an off-campus job listing through the Job Board that you have questions or concerns about, please contact us. We can remove jobs immediately and block the submitter from posting with us in the future.
Before you start your search for off-campus jobs, make sure you read ourJob Scam Alerts.
