Sargent welcomed students from Medway High School to celebrate National Biomechanics Day last month. Students were introduced to biomechanics research and careers, touring our space and interacting with technology in our Human Adaptation Lab and Movement & Applied Imaging Lab.
The group of Medway High students were invited to BU after winning 1st Place in the Biomedical Science category at the recent Student Industry Connects competition hosted by local nonprofit Mass STEM Hub. Sargent faculty andt Mass STEM Hub gave feedback on biomedical projects submitted by the Greater Boston middle and high school students.

Thanks to Avery Kratzer, a PhD student in Rehabilitation Sciences, who organized the outreach event with support from BU’s Graduate Women in Science and Engineering program.
