Hello from the Sargent College Alumni Association Board!

About Us

The members of the SCAA Board represent various Sargent College programs and degrees — past and present. The Board works closely with the Sargent Development and Alumni Relations team and serves as an alumni liaison to the College.

Our Mission

Our mission is to promote the values, heritage, traditions, and evolving goals of Sargent College in both principle and practice; to foster the interrelationships among students, administration, alumni, and faculty; and to fulfill the important legacy of Sargent Spirit.

• Increase giving and support to Sargent College in any capacity
• Host successful, meaningful events for both students and alumni
• Build an engaged alumni network, both in person and virtually

Get Involved

Attend an Event

Our annual Alumni-Student Networking Event is held during BU Alumni Weekend each fall. Sargent alumni from all disciplines are encouraged to attend. Alumni interact with students in small groups and receive valuable alumni perspectives on career paths, graduate school applications, and networking advice.

We are always looking for new ways to engage Sargent students and alumni. We would love to hear your thoughts or event ideas!

Interested in Joining the Alumni Board or a Programmatic Sub-Committee?

Board members are required to attend and participate at our Board Meetings which occur three times a year (typically in September, January, and May). Board meetings are held in the evening from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Sargent College. While in-person attendance at meetings is encouraged, remote participation via Zoom is now available. Working meetings in between our regular board meetings are not required, but attendance is encouraged.

As a Board member, you should also attend SCAA sponsored events, including, but not limited to, the Alumni-Student Networking Event and Professional Development Workshop, as your schedule allows.

All Board members support Sargent College philanthropically.

Sargent College Alumni Association Programmatic Sub-Committee

Each major at Sargent has a programmatic sub-committee consisting of 5-7 individuals with representatives from their respective graduation decade. Annually, each sub-committee will organize a guest speaker for our Sargent speaker series, open to all alumni. Each sub-committee will have a chair who oversees planning meetings and organizes that year’s speaker.
