David Cantrell

David works at Red Hat as a software engineering manager in the Platform Engineering department, where he focuses on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Fedora Linux.  He spent many years working on installation and deployment software and has been involved in a range of userspace programs and libraryes.  David has been working on Linux operating systems in some capacity since 1998.  Prior to Red Hat, David worked on Linux kernel device drivers at Internet Security Systems.  Prior to that he worked on Slackware Linux at both Walnut Creek CDROM and BSDi.  He has given talks at numerous conferences over the years, including the Red Hat Summit.
