Eight Questrom Lecturer Promotions

This week, Dean Susan Fournier accounced the promotion of eight lecturer faculty, Ann Marie Asadoorian, promoted to Senior Lecturer in Accounting , Paul Cosway, promoted to Senior Lecturer in Strategy & Innovation , John DeVoy, promoted to Senior Lecturer in Finance, Dionne Lomax, promoted to Senior Lecturer in Markets, Public Policy & Law, Louis Salemy, promoted to Senior Lecturer in Finance, Yoo Jin Chung, promoted to Master Lecturer in Management & Organizations, Moshe Cohen, promoted to Master Lecturer in Management & Organizations, and Paul “Hutch” Hutchinson, promoted to Master Lecturer in Management & Organizations.

Ann Marie Asadoorian – Promoted to Senior Lecturer in Accounting
Ann Marie has been a member of the Accounting Department for 20 years and transitioned to full-time lecturer in 2021. With a professional background that includes earning her CPA, working at KPMG, and running her own tax and accounting practice, Ann Marie brings a wealth of real-world experience to her teaching. She has taught over 100 sections of AC 222, with students praising her teaching for its clarity, enthusiasm, real-world applicability, and supportive approach. Beyond the classroom, Ann Marie has served as course coordinator for AC 222, engaged in significant curriculum development, and contributes to numerous department committees.

Paul Cosway – Promoted to Senior Lecturer in Strategy & Innovation
Paul joined the Strategy & Innovation Department in 2015 and has since taught the core undergraduate course SI422 to nearly 3,000 students. He contributed significantly to the evolution of the SI 422 curriculum, experimenting with new assessments and mentoring students. As evidenced by the long lines of students outside his office door, Paul is widely appreciated for his accessibility and commitment to student learning and is known for always making time for office hours. In addition to his teaching and curriculum development contributions, Paul served on the Academic Conduct Committee and the Day 1 Ready subcommittee focused on critical thinking skills.

John DeVoy – Promoted to Senior Lecturer in Finance
John joined the Finance Department as a full-time Lecturer in 2022, after initially coming to Questrom as an adjunct in 2014. With a background in asset management and distressed debt, John brings significant real-world expertise to his teaching. Students praise his dedication, and his courses are deemed essential for competitive finance jobs. John taught and coordinated a range of courses at both graduate and undergraduate levels and has played a central role in redesigning core finance courses including SM 132. He has been coordinator for the undergraduate Finance concentration since 2022 and serves on the UG Program Development Committee, the Day 1 Ready Curriculum Redesign subcommittee, and is Faculty Advisor to the BU Alternative Investments Group. John has won multiple awards, including the James E. Freeman Leadership Development Award, Beckwith Award for Excellence in Teaching, and the Broderick Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Dionne Lomax – Promoted to Senior Lecturer in Markets, Public Policy & Law
Dionne joined the Markets, Public Policy, and Law Department in 2019. She holds a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and is an expert in antitrust law, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions. As a former Partner at prominent national law firms and a Trial Attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice, she advised high-profile clients on complex commercial transactions and regulatory matters. Her teaching spans business law, healthcare antitrust, and crisis management, and she has developed and delivered courses in both in-person and online formats. Dionne is known for her ability to connect with students, offering clarity, rigor, and a commitment to their success. Dionne serves as Faculty-in-Residence at the Questrom Center for DEI, advises the Black Business Students Association, and previously served as coordinator for the undergraduate Law concentration. She is a recipient of the Broderick Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Student Learning and Experience and the James E. Freeman Leadership Development Award.

Louis Salemy – Promoted to Senior Lecturer in Finance
Louis joined the Finance Department in 2016 and became a full-time Lecturer in 2022. He has made a significant impact through his innovative course design and dedication to student success. Louis developed and taught high-enrollment electives including Corporate Finance, Equities and Securities Analysis, and Business Valuation. His courses are known for blending finance theory with practical, real-world applications. As a strong testament to his skill and attention to the career preparedness of his finance students, Louis created and delivers a no-credit financial modeling workshop that has become an invaluable resource for finance concentrators. Louis serves on multiple departmental committees and helps to bridge the gap between research faculty and lecturers. His work has enhanced student career outcomes and increased on-campus recruitment, particularly in the investments space. Louis is a recipient of multiple awards, including the Dean’s Teaching Fellow Award, Beckwith Award for Excellence in Teaching, and the James E. Freeman Leadership Development Award.

Yoo Jin Chung – Promoted to Master Lecturer in Management & Organizations
Yoo Jin joined the Management & Organizations Department in 2011 and became a full-time Lecturer in 2014. Her teaching is consistently praised for its engagement, innovation, and care for students. Yoo Jin serves as concentration advisor for undergraduate students that pursue an independent concentration, and she is also a Faculty Advisor for the Center of Team Learning. In 2018, she became Faculty Director of the Humphrey Fellows Program and provided steady leadership and enriching experiences for international scholars until the government sponsored program concluded this year. Yoo Jin has served on numerous committees, including the Day 1 Ready subcommittee on the Global Signature Experience. Her contributions have earned her multiple awards, including the Broderick Award for Excellence in Teaching and the James E. Freeman Leadership Development Award.

Moshe Cohen – Promoted to Master Lecturer in Management & Organizations
Moshe has been a member of the Management & Organizations Department for 25 years, starting as an adjunct and becoming a full-time Senior Lecturer in 2017. He teaches negotiation and leadership across multiple graduate programs, including the full-time MBA, PEMBA, OMBA, and MiM. Moshe is widely recognized for his engaging, student-centered teaching style and his ability to create dynamic, interactive classroom experiences. He has made significant contributions to curriculum development, faculty mentoring, and cross-campus engagement. Moshe has published three books and numerous articles, and his thought leadership in negotiation and leadership has elevated Questrom’s profile nationally and internationally.

Paul “Hutch” Hutchinson – Promoted to Master Lecturer in Management & Organizations
Hutch has been a member of the Management Organizations Department for over 15 years and joined the full-time faculty in 2013. His courses on teaming and leadership are foundational to the graduate curriculum, and his influence extends across programs and departments. Hutch has developed a wide range of experiential learning materials, particularly for the OMBA program. His student evaluations are consistently outstanding, and testimonials speak to the life-changing impact he has on students. Hutch serves as Director of Graduate Teaming, regularly supports numerous Questrom events, and has led mental health training initiatives for faculty and staff. He has won multiple teaching and service awards, including the Broderick Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Graduate Community, the Questrom Award for Institutional Leadership, and the James E. Freeman Leadership Development Award.
