BU Consulting Group & BU Finance Club Win Big in Questrom-State Street $180M Investment Case Competition

The State Street Competition was held on campus on November 25th and was entirely custom designed for State Street by Professor Keith Munsell. Five student teams tackled the high-stakes $180M challenge and demonstrated their analytical and presentation prowess. Working with an industry alumni mentor, each team delivered 5-minute presentations with strategic recommendations to a panel of judges from State Street that included Melanie Herald- Managing Director, Sean Gonick- Vice President, Shelly Chandra Patel- Corporate Counsel, Matt Pilavin- Real Estate Analyst.

Following an intense round of presentations and deliberations, the BU Consulting Group, comprised of Zachary Formes, Tianzhuang Wang, Jeffrey Wang, Nikita Salkar, and William Marshall, emerged victorious, securing the 1st Place and a $1,000 prize. The BU Finance Club, comprised of Nicholas Glomski, Ben Norris, Mihir Bhuptani, Nick Gilhooley, and Thomas Smith, earned the 2nd Place $500 prize. 

Questrom’s collaboration with State Street reflects the school’s commitment to fostering partnerships with employers and creating meaningful student learning experiences. It also highlights the value of custom experiential learning programs in preparing students for career success and providing them with strong industry connections.
