Students who are interested in pursuing a career in the health professions may enter a post-baccalaureate program to complete their coursework after receiving their bachelor’s degree. For some students, post-bac programs provide an opportunity to improve their undergraduate GPA by re-taking science courses. For other students, who have decided to change their career path, post-bac programs offer a chance to complete the required pre-health courses. The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) maintains a database of post-bac programs that can be accessed through their website.
