Pardee Center Task Force Members Author Op-Ed in the Financial Times

Three members of the Pardee Center Task Force on Regulating Global Capital Flows for the Long Run Development have co-authored an op-ed in the Economist’s Forum in the Financial Times. The piece by Pardee Faculty Fellow Kevin Gallagher, and Columbia faculty Stephany Griffith-Jones, and José Antonia Ocampo is titled, “Historic moment for the IMF.” The article addresses the IMF’s forthcoming move to increase regulations on cross-border finances. The Pardee Center Task Force has called for increased regulation on cross- border exchanges, and lauds the decision. However, the authors write that these regulations will not go far enough.
