And BU is at the center of the excitement
This summer, Boston steps onto the global stage as the FIFA World Cup 2026™ comes to the region with seven matches, including a Round of 32 matchup and a quarter-final on July 9, all hosted at Gillette Stadium—temporarily designated “Boston Stadium” for the tournament.
Beginning June 13, fans can experience world‑class matchups from Groups C, I, and L—such as Haiti vs. Scotland, England vs. Ghana, and Norway vs. France—as the city fills with international visitors and celebrations, festivals, and special events across Boston.
