Biography
Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Sherrie received her legal education in both the British Commonwealth and the United States. She first expressed interest in BU’s Tax LL.M. Program as an international candidate. Her Tax LL.M. together with her prior work experience in various countries enabled her to easily transition into American corporate life. Here, she focused her practice on tax, audit, compliance and cross border due diligence. To facilitate her taking of an American Bar, Sherrie returned to BU Law for a second time to complete an LL.M. in American Law.
Working with the Big Four accounting and other professional services firms in several countries, she represented clients from all over the world. She therefore brings her clients the benefit of a broad background in international transactions and corporate compliance. A self-described methodical thinker who likes to explore issues thoroughly, she appreciates that she can offer her clients the advantages of her expansive worldview while providing the level of personal attention they deserve.
A proud advocate of Access to Justice and of assisting those less fortunate than herself, she dedicates part of her time representing indigents in the Commonwealth’s Child Welfare Department. She especially enjoys working with mentally challenged children.
While Sherrie has worked and lived in many countries, she now makes Boston her home.
