Larissa Brewster
Assistant Director for Government and Public Interest Careers
Biography
A magna cum laude graduate of Bentley University with a BS in Marketing and an MBA in Management and Financial Planning, Larissa pursued a law degree at Suffolk University to combine her business knowledge with her love of the law. During law school, Larissa gained experience interning and working as a student attorney in the government sector for the Department of Children and Families and the Barnstable County District Attorney’s Office. In her third year of law school, she started working in Human Resources and went on to become a Recruiter and Account Executive at Robert Half Legal. This position required building connections and networking within the legal market. Larissa found her passion for career advising by having meaningful conversations with the attorneys she worked with and learning about what they did and what they liked about it.
In 2017, Larissa started working as a career advisor helping students navigate the same legal market she learned so well in her previous position. She managed the Career Services Office as an Associate Director at New England Law | Boston, leading the school’s Recruitment Program and building relationships with government and public interest employers. At New England Law, Larissa created and led many events including several government and public interest panels such as, a panel of representatives from each of the District Attorney’s Offices throughout Massachusetts and a panel of representatives from each of the JAG Offices within the military. Larissa also served as President of the Massachusetts Law School Consortium from 2018-2019.
Larissa finds joy in movement and spends her free time running marathons, competing in triathlons, snowboarding, golfing, and coaching and teaching swim lessons.
