Larissa Brewster

Director for Graduate Career Advising and Outcomes

A magna cum laude graduate of Bentley University with a BS in Marketing and an MBA in Management and Financial Planning, Larissa pursued a law degree at Suffolk University to combine her business knowledge with her love of the law. During law school, Larissa gained experience interning and working as a student attorney in the government sector for the Department of Children and Families and the Barnstable County District Attorney’s Office as well as in the private sector working for a civil litigation firm in Boston. In her third year of law school, she started working in Human Resources and went on to become a Recruiter and Account Executive at Robert Half Legal. This position required building connections and networking within the legal market. Larissa found her passion for career advising by having meaningful conversations with the attorneys she worked with and learning about what they did and what they liked about it.

In 2017, Larissa started working as a career advisor helping students navigate the same legal market she learned so well in her previous position. She managed the Career Services Office as an Associate Director at New England Law | Boston, leading the school’s Recruitment Program, building relationships with employers in all sectors of the legal field, and creating and leading many events, panels, and networking sessions for students.

Larissa initially joined the Career Development Office at BU Law as a government and public interest advisor. Now, as the Director for Graduate Career Advising and Outcomes, Larissa works mainly with third year law students and recent graduates in all areas of the legal market to help them find entry level post graduate positions. She also leads the collection of data for the annual ABA Graduate Employment Survey and the NALP Employment Report & Salary Survey.

Larissa served as President of the Massachusetts Law School Consortium from 2018-2019 and 2022-2023. She currently serves as a Northeast Regional Leadership Council Representative for the National Associate for Law Placement (NALP) and is a two-time NALP Conference panelist.

Larissa finds joy in movement and spends her free time coaching a swim team, running marathons in different states, competing in triathlons, snowboarding, golfing, and teaching swim lessons.
