Biography

Kristin McCarthy is a Senior Legal Information Librarian at Boston University Law School, where she also teaches in the Lawyering Skills program. She specializes in transactional law research, with a focus on corporate, securities, and banking law. Kristin has a particular interest in legal technology and its ethical use in facilitating legal work. Before joining Boston University, she served as the Director of the New England Law Library and Assistant Professor of Law. There, she taught various courses, including Massachusetts Legal Research, Immigration Law Research, and Advanced Legal Research. She also participated in the first-year legal research and writing program. Kristin is a member of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL), the Law Librarians of New England (LLNE) and the Massachusetts Bar.
