Rebecca Simmons (’19) Named Intellectual Property Law Firm Principal

Rebecca “Becky” Simmons, of Arlington, has been elected principal of the firm Hamilton Brook Smith Reynolds.

“We are honored to announce Becky’s advancement to principal,” said Alice Carroll, principal at Hamilton Brook Smith Reynolds. “In her new role, our pharmaceutical clients will continue to benefit from Becky’s sophisticated approach to chemical patenting and counseling.”

Simmons has a doctorate in chemistry from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science in chemistry and French from Boston College. She received her Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law. Simmons has been the recipient of several awards and honors, including the Eli Lilly Organic Chemistry Fellowship, Fulbright Foreign Scholarship, Gabelli Presidential Scholarship and the IBM Thomas J. Watson Memorial Scholarship Award. She has also been named an Edward F. Hennessey Scholar and a Robert B. Woodward Fellow.
