AI at BU Law
Boston University Law School is preparing students for the growing role of AI in legal practice. The BU Law AI Program will provide the curriculum, training, and tools necessary for future legal professionals to learn how to use artificial intelligence skillfully and wisely, preparing them for the AI-enabled legal practice of the future. Students will receive hands-on instruction in the use of advanced, law-focused AI platforms—such as Harvey, Claude, and other emerging technologies—alongside foundational coursework in legal writing, research, and analysis. They will also be trained to recognize the risks of AI, including issues like bias, inaccuracy, and confidentiality. Through hands-on experience, students will develop the judgment and skills needed to use AI responsibly in real-world legal settings.
