Alisa Hacker (’02) Joins Day Pitney as Litigation Partner in Boston
Boston, MA, September 24, 2018 – Day Pitney LLP announced today that Alisa L. Hacker has joined the firm as a partner in the Litigation Department in its Boston office. Hacker was previously a partner at Sugarman, Rogers, Barshak & Cohen, P.C., where she served as Chair of the Domestic Relations & Probate Litigation Group.

In the area of probate litigation, Hacker represents trustees, personal representatives, other fiduciaries, and beneficiaries in matters involving will contests, disputes over estate administration, and complaints for judicial instructions, declaratory judgments and equitable remedies. In contested conservatorship and guardianship actions, she represents clients petitioning to have a court appoint a guardian or conservator to oversee the medical well-being or finances of a vulnerable person who cannot manage his or her own care.
A certified mediator and conciliator, Hacker’s practice encompasses all aspects of family law, including complex divorce cases, disputes over custody, visitation and parenting time, issues of child support, alimony, and division of the marital estate, paternity matters, requests for modification of divorce agreements and judgments, and contempt actions. In addition, she counsels clients in the negotiation and drafting of prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements.

Hacker received her B.A., cum laude, from Saint Olaf College and her J.D. from Boston University School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts.
