BU Humanists in the Media

The projects that two former BUCH Henderson Senior Research Fellows worked on during their fellowship semesters have been the subject of recent media attention.

In her article “Trump’s idea to rename Veterans Day fizzled for a good reason,” published by the LA Times, Joanna Davidson (AN) writes about the study of naming practices that she pursued during her fellowship.

In episode 118 of the podcast This is Love (VoxMedia), Lida Maxwell (PO) draws from her extensive research into the love that Rachel Carson and Dorothy Freeman share for the environment, and for each other.

Additional BU faculty have lent their expertise to major media outlets, authoring pieces and being interviewed on pressing contemporary questions of humanistic concern:

Saida Grundy: Trump’s attacks on the ‘Blacksonian’ have a history in a century-old myth,” The Guardian
Bruce Schulman: How Will History Judge Joe Biden? The Last Best Hope podcast
