she/her/hers
Catherine comes to Boston University after working in art and archaeology museums in her hometown of Montreal. She spent six years developing skills in communications, publishing, and administrative roles that cemented her desire to pursue PhD in art history. Her previous studies in Studio Arts, Philosophy, Conservation, and World Heritage inform her multidisciplinary approach to modern and contemporary art. Her MA research focused on memorialization in video games, counter-memorials in Germany, and intercultural communication in online communities. Catherine is currently exploring the intersection of exhibitions and memorials, memory-focused art, and remembrance, especially as they relate to human rights violations and Indigenous issues.
