Wenhao Zhu is a Global China Pre-doctoral Visiting Fellow at the Boston University Global Development Policy Center and a doctoral candidate in Comparative Politics at the School of International Studies of Peking University. He studies China and Latin America economic ties, using network analysis to map how bilateral trade and investment are structured and how they evolve. Fieldwork in Brazil and Mexico grounds the quantitative results and surfaces on-the-ground constraints for investors and policymakers. Earlier, he interned at the Bank of China Head Office, where he analyzed options to optimize the bank’s overseas network mix.
