Sarah Safi is an undergraduate studying Economics at Boston University, with a particular focus in international development. She has been working on a randomized controlled trial, called the Jaunpur Social Networks Study (JSNS), since March 2019. Over the summer, Sarah traveled to India with the JSNS team to implement the follow-up survey and evaluate the health and economic effects of improving access to family planning and maternal and child health services. She is currently researching the relationship (if any) between socioeconomic status and family planning in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh.
