Juan Carlos Moreno Brid is a Non-Resident Senior Fellow with the Global Economic Governance Initiative at the Boston University Global Development Policy Center. He received his PhD from Cambridge. He is currently a Professor of Economics at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Previously, he served as the Research Coordinator and Associate Director of Mexico’s Office of the UN-Economic Commission for Latin America, and a Research Associate at the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies, Harvard University. He has published extensively on economic development; the most recent one is: “Essays on Development and Growth: in honor of Jaime Ros” (coeditor with A. Dutt, N. Lustig and J.A. Ocampo, Routledge, forthcoming 2025). He is also a founding member of the World Economic Association.
