Hadiza Gagara Dagah

Ms. Hadiza Gagara Dagah is the Chief Financial Officer of Ecobank Niger. Her role includes supervising Financial Team, supporting Business Unit, providing financial information to the Board of Directors and ensuring financial reports are in compliant with West African Central Bank standards. She also works on two important West African Central Bank projects: the convergence of West African GAAP towards international standards and the implementation of Basel II and III within the West African banking sector. Prior joining Ecobank, she works at the Treasury and Public Account Direction at the Ministry of Finances.

She is currently a Humphrey Fellow at Boston University. Throughout her Fellowship year, Ms.Gagara Dagah plans to focus on international financial standards and the impact of Basel II and III in developing countries in general. She is also interested on the problematic of the access of developing countries to Regional or International Finance.

Her ultimate goal is to bring her contribution in the establishment or reinforcement of regional financial institution, which will foster African countries economic development.
