Dr. Bing Han is a member of the Working Group on Trade and Access to Medicines, Boston University Global Development Policy Center and a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of World Economics and Politics (IWEP) of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), which was described by Foreign Policy magazine as the top think tank in Asia.  Bing Han has been a Fulbright scholar (August 2018-July 2019) at the Law Center of Georgetown University. She has also served as a visiting researcher at the South Centre in Switzerland and the Law School of Boston University. She holds a L.L.M from the University of Exeter (UK) and a Ph.D. in law from China University of Political Science and Law.

Bing Han’s research interests are in international investment law, international trade law, international human rights law, intellectual property law and innovation policy. Her recent research has focused on intellectual property rules in the ‘new’ generation of international economic and trade agreements and their potential implications to developing countries.

She carries out academic research for various international and domestic organizations, among them the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, the Ministry of Finance of China, National Development and Reform Commission of China and etc. She has worked as an expert of the “Belt and Road” economic and trade cooperation expert group of Chinese Ministry of Commerce’s Economic and Trade Policy Advisory Committee.
