Ana María Trujillo is a Pre-doctoral Fellow with the Global Economic Governance Initiative at the Boston University Global Development Policy Center. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Boston University. Originally from Ecuador, Ana María holds an M.A. in Economics from Yale University and a B.A. in Economics, with a minor in Mathematics, from Universidad San Francisco de Quito. Her work bridges macroeconomic development and environmental economics, with a focus on how natural disasters and resilience policies shape long-run growth.

Before starting her Ph.D., Ana worked with a wide range of international organizations—including the IMF, OAS, World Bank, WWF and UNDP—as well as with public institutions in Ecuador. These experiences gave her a strong grounding in policy work that articulates local concerns with a global perspective on economic challenges.
