Ali Ammar is a Research Assistant at the BU Global Development Policy Center. Ali was also a project coordinator at the BU Institute for Sustainable Energy. Prior to joining BU he worked as an energy sector consultant and data analyst at Energy Intelligence, a New York-based information services provider. He expanded research on various energy-related projects around the world and ran qualitative analysis of crude oil production in a number of countries. As a data analyst, he built and developed large databases for the energy sector. 

Ali comes from Beirut, Lebanon, where he studied Economics at the Lebanese American University. He is Dean’s Ambassador at the Pardee School, where he is currently pursuing a Master’s in Global Policy with specialization in Development.
