Become a Faculty Affiliate
The Boston University Global Development Policy Center (GDP Center) is now welcoming expressions of interest for Affiliate Faculty Members on a rolling basis. By becoming an Affiliate Faculty Member, BU faculty can engage more deeply with the GDP Center and gain access to additional opportunities for collaboration, including priority consideration for funding to support collaborative research proposals. Faculty affiliations with the GDP Center are open to tenured, tenure-track, research professors, professors of the practice, and full-time faculty with unmodified titles across the University.

Priority consideration for funding that supports collaborative research proposals available to GDP Center Core and Affiliate Faculty Members.

Access to opportunities for students, including fieldwork funding through the Summer in the Field Fellowship Program.

Strategic and logistical support, including assistance with proposal and budget development for sponsored research activities facilitated by the GDP Center.

Opportunities to publish, produce, and promote working papers and policy briefs on development-related issues.

Engagement in Center activities, including research meetings, speaker events, expert workshops, and other academic gatherings that foster collaboration and exchange.

Visibility and promotion of research and publications through GDP Center communication channels, including the website, social media, and email newsletters.

Access to Center facilities and services, including reservation of the GDP Center conference room and webinar streaming support for development-related events (subject to availability).

Opportunities to provide feedback on the Center’s activities and programs through the annual Affiliate Faculty Survey.

Interested faculty are invited to email William Kring at gdpadmin@bu.edu including a brief statement outlining their reasons for seeking affiliation, how they hope to benefit from the association, how their research aligns with the Center’s mission and/or research initiatives, and a current CV.
