Mela Dewi

Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) candidate at Boston University School of Public Health with experience in health systems strengthening, hospital pharmacy management, and cancer policy. Before joining BU, Mela worked with Indonesia’s Ministry of Health on the national Health Transformation Agenda and referral system reform.

Her dissertation and Summer in the Field research examines how Indonesia can strengthen domestic pharmaceutical manufacturing and expand access to high-cost oncology biologics, with a focus on biosimilars. Through doctoral studies, she aims to generate evidence to inform policy and improve equitable access to cancer care.
