Yuning Zhang is a Global China Pre-doctoral Visiting Fellow at the Boston University Global Development Policy Center and a doctoral candidate in Applied Economics at the School of Business, Shanghai University of International Business and Economics. Her research focuses on development finance and sovereign debt, with a primary emphasis on China-Africa cooperation. Her work encompasses both the macro-level construction of global governance systems and in-depth analyses of specific issues such as sovereign debt sustainability, climate finance, and digital economy development. Currently, she employs econometric methods, case studies, and policy evaluations to systematically examine the impact of Chinese aid on the socio-economic development of recipient countries.
